Tethral
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Tethral (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Tethral, Inc. ("Tethral," "we," "us," or "our").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Tethral, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. The Service
Tethral is an always-on personal AI agent that helps you manage your day. Capabilities are extended through "Compositions" — bundles of tasks the agent can perform on your behalf. Some Compositions are first-party (e.g., Morning Rundown, Home Safety); others are user-published in the marketplace.
Tethral runs on "Energy" — a single unit covering LLM tokens, voice time, and adapter calls. The Free plan provides a weekly Energy allowance; paid plans (Mini, Pro) provide larger monthly allowances. Pricing is published at /pricing and may change with notice.
4. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. We use magic-link or single sign-on for authentication; you must keep your email account secure.
You may delete your account at any time from the profile menu. Account deletion is irreversible and cascades to your data (Compositions, runs, artifacts, energy ledger entries) per our retention policy described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate applicable law or third-party rights
- Send spam, phishing attempts, or unsolicited communications
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or any output that's primarily generated by it without our written permission
- Generate content that infringes intellectual property, defames persons or entities, or facilitates harm to others
- Probe, scan, or test the Service's vulnerability except as part of an authorized security research engagement
- Use the Service to build a competing product (model training, benchmark scraping, derivative works)
6. AI output
Tethral generates output using large language models and other AI systems. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it for any decision with real-world consequences — including but not limited to financial, legal, medical, or safety contexts. Do not rely on Tethral as a substitute for professional advice in any regulated domain.
You retain rights to inputs you provide and to outputs generated on your behalf, subject to applicable law and the rights of any third-party model provider (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI). You grant Tethral a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process inputs and outputs solely to deliver the Service.
7. Payment, refunds, and cancellations
Paid plans bill on a monthly or annual cycle and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current period. You retain access until the end of the paid period.
3-day satisfaction window: if you're not satisfied within 3 days of a new subscription, contact support at support@tethral.ai for a full refund.
EU/UK 14-day right of withdrawal: if you reside in the EU or UK, you may withdraw within 14 days for any reason and receive a full refund.
Cap: we honor at most 2 refund requests per rolling 12-month period per account, with a 30-day cooldown between refundable purchases.
Energy packs (one-time purchases) are refundable within 48 hours of purchase if Energy is unused. Ad-free passes and Energy you've already consumed are non-refundable.
8. Third-party integrations
Tethral integrates with third-party services (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Twilio, Hume, Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend, Anthropic, and others) to deliver functionality. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms; we are not responsible for third-party outages, data handling, or policy changes. When you connect a third-party account (e.g., Gmail, Calendar), you authorize Tethral to access only the scopes you explicitly grant.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, branding, and original content, is owned by Tethral, Inc. and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes (or commercial purposes if explicitly permitted by your plan tier).
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TETHRAL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TETHRAL'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TETHRAL IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tethral, Inc. and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim or demand arising out of your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, applicable law, or third-party rights.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or non-payment. Sections 5-13 survive termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where prohibited by mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and noted in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
